Welcome to The Lodging House Mission

The Lodging House Mission is a Glasgow based charity dedicated to providing care and support to homeless, vulnerable and socially excluded people.

Helping up to 140 individuals every day, our aim is to promote recovery amongst the city's most disadvantaged citizens. We operate an open door policy to ensure that no-one is ever turned away. Ultimately, we want to help build a brighter future for people by providing:

Established over 100 years ago, we understand how easy it is to hit rock bottom and how difficult it is to get back on the right path. Our education and activities programmes are designed to help build confidence and promote independence as well as to discover hidden talents and interests.

‘Over the years our organisation has gone from strength to strength. We're much more than just a soup kitchen.'

Personal Development Activities What passes for the summer has arrived and we still struggle to find dry days to try to tame the weeds at our Springburn allotment. We received tools from Greenbank Church and a very welcome donation from Cadder Church has allowed us to buy a petrol strimmer, saving us time, effort (and backache!). This season’s planting is complete and we’re expecting bumper crops of tomatoes, potatoes, onions and beans; pigeons enjoyed the cabbage.
