Mark Smyth & Chris McLorinan Day Centre -- In the absence of a Manager, Mark and Chris supervise our Day Centre, the hub of our operation. We currently welcome 90-100 visitors each day, all with different needs, but all seeking food, warmth and often just companionship.
Archie Sharp & Mark Downie Kitchen Assistants -- Some think that Archie and Mark have been in the LHM since it started in 1909. They have the heavy responsibility of feeding 90-100 people each day. LHM serve quality meals and their home made soup (free of charge) is legendary. Mark's skills extend to D.I.Y and he saves us huge amounts of expense every year.
Wendy McGinley Education Development Worker -- Wendy joined us on a permanent basis in October 2015, having previously been assigned to LHM by the Christian International College. She is in charge of all educational and activity based projects and brings a compassionate and committed attitude to her duties.
Helen Hart Finance Officer -- If you know LHM, you know Helen. Helen is the most well know face in LHM and as well as looking after administration and finance, she meets and greets all our Church and other visitors on arrival to the office.
Angela Vance Support Worker -- Angela has a very busy job looking after any problems which a Service User may bring (and there are many). Problems with housing and DWP are most frequent but the caring way in which she exercises her duties is her greatest asset.
Gus Smeaton Director and Interim Manager -- Gus has overall responsibility for the day to day running of the project in the absence of a paid employee. An accountant to trade, Gus spent over 40 years in the construction industry in a variety of financial and managerial positions.
Gus McKay Chaplain -- Gus has been working in the LHM since Oct 2008. He came originally to work as a Support Worker. He took over as Chaplain in 2010 and has continued to meet the pastoral and spiritual needs of those who use LHM and the wider homeless community.
